“A lovely welcome, the quality of the food was outstanding, pretty china, generous amounts of food – we pigged out and still couldnt eat it all. It’s hard to say what was best, as everything was perfect (and I’m very picky). Legendary scones.”

Not only was the food delicious, across the board, but the chance to meet some new people was nice without feeling at all forced as is often the case at organised events bringing together groups of strangers. I now know that I don’t need to worry about coming again and being on my own – and it’s nice to see that Marie Claire can pop in and out and is able to join in with conversations etc, rather than being permanently stuck in the kitchen whilst everyone else feeds their faces!
